WWE News: Possible WrestleMania 29 Opponent for Chris Jericho Revealed

The Super Bowl of professional wrestling, WrestleMania, is only weeks away.
As we have seen in the past, WWEshowcases its brightest stars on this night. Therefore it's quite obvious that the highlight of the night, Chris Jericho, would have a match.
Rumors have been swirling since January regarding who Jericho would face at WrestleMania 29. These rumors have led to names like Dolph ZigglerRyback andMark Henry all being tabbed as possible opponents.
It looks like the rumor mill is churning once again, because a new name is now making its rounds.
According to an article on WrestlingInc.com, referencing the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, a match between Jericho and Fandango is in the works.
I am willing to bet this news didn't exactly make you jump up and down. Upon first reading this article, I also was not overly thrilled at the prospect of a Jericho/Fandango match.
I thought that a Jericho/Ziggler match would be far better from an in-ring stand point.Ryback could definitely use a jolt of life from a character view point. A heel turn paired with the destruction of Jericho could be enough to make people care about him again. A Henry/Jericho match is also interesting because it's something new. To the best of my recollection, I do not recall many Jericho/Henry encounters.
However, I then thought a bit more. Although Fandango's current schtick is pretty boring, Jericho could really bring it to life. Jericho's incredible mic skills could make Fandango's name thing absolute gold.
In this scenario, a Jericho/Fandango match does a few positive things. Then, depending on how WWE decides to handle it, it could have Jericho be Fandango's first opponent. If this turns out to be the case, it would only make sense for Jericho to put Fandango over since he is leaving after WrestleMania.
For starters, it gives Jericho a match at WrestleMania and something to do on Raw prior. Secondly, it gives Fandango a more solid direction as opposed to refusing to fight mid to low carders each week. Thirdly, a win over Jericho at WrestleMania would be huge for Fandango's career and could be used to springboard him going forward. Lastly, it would give Jericho a feud to return to.
If and when he decides to come back, he could continue his program with Fandango.
Now that I have hyped myself up for this Jericho/Fandango match, I have to snap back to reality. Like the aforementioned matches with ZigglerRyback and Henry, this match is also merely a rumor. Jericho is most likely going to find his way onto the WrestleMania 29 card, the only question is against who?
