WWE Raw Results (3/18/13)



We get the re-cap of Triple H’s return and his Wrestlemania challenge followed by Brock Lesnar’s response and the tribute to Paul Bearer.
Monday Night Raw comes to us this week from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and we are in the Consol Energy Centre and things get underway with John Cena making his way out to the ring. Cena takes the mic and says he senses there may be some Rock fans in the audience tonight and there’s fans rocking both sides, some riding with John Cena and some riding with The Rock and the fans have 20 days to pick a side. Cena says he has a message for the Rock’s fans and he says they’re time is up and his time is now and that may seem like a bitter pill to swallow and says it all started at Royal Rumble and he’s not going to make the same mistake he made last year. He says he’s focused and ready for Wrestlemania. Prime Time Players come out and say Cena’s not the only one ready for Wrestlemania 29. The Prime Time Players are also ready for Wrestlemania 29. Titus O’Neil says he is Rufus “Pancake” Patterson and Cena says Pittsburgh has fine doctors who deal with multiple personalities. O’Neil says they put the entertainment in WWE. Cena says Prime Time Players made him laugh and say hopefully he sees them at Wrestlemania. O’Neil says people don’t want to see Cena, they want to see The Prime Time Players. O’Neil says he has no problem tearing Cena limb from limb but Young has no problem tearing Cena limb from limb in the Steel City. Young says after he’s done with Cena, Cena will be crying and weeping just like last year’s Wrestlemania. Cena says if Young steps into the ring right now, he will show Young what it means to be ready for Wrestlemania.

Cena unloading on Young. Irish whip and the running bulldog off the ropes. Cena going for the STF but O’Neil pulls him out of the ring

Cena with shioulder tackles and the front slam, hits the five knuckle shuffle and follows it up with the AA for the three count

Ryback vs David Otunga
Ryback picks Otunga up and backs him into the corner unloading chops on him and a forearm across the back. Otunga with a boot and a series of kicks but Ryback hits a clothesline. Ryback with the powerslam. Spinebuster to Otunga and Ryback setting Otunga up for the Meat Hook clothesline. Ryback picks Otunga up and delivers Shell Shocked for the three count
The winner of the match: Ryback
Post match: Ryback says at Wrestlemania, he and Henry will cross paths once more and when they do, it will be feeding time. Henry comes out and Teddy Long tells Henry not to take another step towards the ring. Vickie Guerrero comes out and says she’s pulling Ryback from the six man tag match and at Wrestlemania, Ryback will face Mark Henry. Ryback then picks Otunga up and delivers another Shell Shocked
We get yet another Fandango promo

Fandango vs Great Khali
Fandango let’s Natalya pronounce his name but tells Khali to get him and Fandango runs out of the ring and says tonight was the night the WWE Universe almost got to see his debut

R-Truth vs Damien Sandow
Sandow comes out and cuts a promo about truth and says judging by R-Truth ‘s appearance the R stands for repungnant. Truth then cuts a promo of his own saying Sandow is going to get got
Sandow unloads on Truth and lands a series knees. Kneedrop to Truth. Sandow with the reverse chinlock. Truth with a sunset flip. Sandow with a clothesline. Suplex by Sandow. Sandow back to the chinlock. Knee strikes by Sandow to Truth and the side Russian leg sweep followed up by the Cobito Acquiet. Sandow runs into a high elbow and Truth with a series of clotheslines. Flying headscissors by Truth and a high kick. Truth with the Lie Detector but sandow rolls out of the ring. Sandow walks back up the ramp as the official begins to count

Backstage: The Bellas are admiring Cody Rhodes’ mustache and Kaitlyn comes in and says they can’t hang out tonight. The Bellas tell her no one cares and she says as far as Rhodes’ mustache goes, the Bellas can have it and he can have theirs and she walks off and The Bellas call her a rude girl

Undertaker comes out and says last week CM Punk sealed his own fate when he decided to make this personal. There’s no escaping what will happen at Wrestlemania. Underaker is going to hurt him bad and says Punk has one chance to save his soul. He wants the urn back. Punk then appears on the titantron doing a Paul Bearer impression and says for Undertaker, Paul Bearer’s loss was not only a professional one but a personal one and at Wrestlemania Undertaker will face a loss and whether he gets disqualified or counted out it’s still a loss and he says he doesn’t answer to a higher power. He is the higher power and the only one who can snap Undertaker’s streak and at Wrestlemania he will end Undertaker’s streak and it will be 20-1

Team Hell No vs Primo & Epico
Kane unloading on Epico. Primo from behind on Bryan. Side head lock and a whip into the ropes and shoulderblock to Bryan. Bryan with a knee and Bryan with a series of kicks in the corner.  Irish whip by Bryan and sunset flip from the top rope. Bryan with an armdrag to Epico. Hammerlock to Epico. Bryan with a back bodydrop and Primo with the distraction as Epico nails Bryan from behind sending him to the floor. Epico unloads on Bryan and frequent tags between Primo & Epico. Primo with a dropkick. Side Russian leg sweep. Primo with a surfboard on Bryan and Bryan counters it but Primo hits a clothesline. Chinlock  by Primo. Bryan trying to fight out of the corner and Primo preventing the tag but Bryan manages to get the tag. Kane with a back body drop to Primo. Series of clotheslines to Primo. Kane runs into a boot. Kane with the sidewalk slam, knocks Epico off the ropes. Kane with the chokeslam. AJ comes out for the distraction. Epico gets the tag, Bryan with a dropkick to Epico as Kane hits the chokeslam for the three count

Backstage: Chris Jericho says he’s held the intercontinental title more times than any superstar in WWE and tonight he is looking to make it 10. Fandango then interrupts and introduces himself and Jericho makes fun of his name. Fandango then tells Jericho he will learn to pronounce his name properly.

Alberto Del Rio vs Cody Rhodes
Rhodes unloads on Del Rio. Del Rio with an armdrag and he goes to work on the arm. Rhodes reverses and Del Rio with a roll through. Open handed palm strike by Rhodes. Hard irish whip into the corner. Kneedrop by Rhodes. Del Rio runs into an elbow. Rhodes dropped face first to the mat. Del Rio with a kick to the side of head. Suplex by Rhodes. Head scissors into a front facelock by Rhodes. Del Rio counters with a back body drop. Del Rio hits the ring post. Snapmare by Del Rio and a dropkick to the knees sending Rhodes to the outside

Rhodes unloading with kicks to Del Rio. Del Rio with a slam. Del Rio misses with a moonsault and Rhodes with a clothesline. Rhodes working on the leg. Rhodes sits Del Rio on the turnbuckle and Rhodes with the superplex but Del Rio counters. Series of clotheslines by Del Rio, Del Rio with a slam and a kick to the head. Del Rio sends Rhodes to the outside. Punches to the kidneys and the backstabber by Del Rio. Del Rio with the cross armbreaker for the tap out

Randy Orton & Sheamus vs 3MB
Sheamus  starts with Mcintyre and McIntyre unloads on Sheamus but Sheamus fights back. Sheamus looks for White Noise early on. Orton with a dropkick. Uppercut to McIntyre and Sheamus with the Fiery Red Hand and the battering ram. Hiptoss blocked by Sheamus and a clothesline to McIntyre. McIntyre with a clothesline of his own.  3MB keeping Sheamus in their corner and Sheamus fighting out. McIntyre with a boot to the face. McIntyre off the second rope and Sheamus catches him with a double axehandle. Orton with a series of clotheslines to Slater. Powerslam by Orton and Orton drops Slater with the DDT. Brogue Kick to McIntyre, Brogue Kick to Mahal as Orton hits the RKO on Slater for the three count
The winners of the match: Sheamus & Randy Orton
Post Match: The Shield make their way through the crowd towards the ring. Big Show then comes out to even up the odds and The Shield retreat back through the crowd. Show then looks at Sheamus and Orton and points to the Wrestlemania sign and exits the ring.

Wristlock by Ziggler countered by Kingston. Armdrag by Kingston. Side headlock takedown by Ziggler. Shoulderblock by Ziggler. Elbow by Kingston.  Dropkick by Ziggler. Ziggler with a chinlock on Kingston. Ziggler misses with the splash in the corner and Kingston with a clothesline and dropkick. Sleeperhold by Ziggler, Kingston counters it with the side Russian legsweep. Springboard splash onto Ziggler. Kingston with the Boom Drop on Ziggler. Trouble In Paradise but Ziggler counters looking for the ZigZag. Kingston on the apron and AJ with the distraction as Kingston runs into a boot from Langston. Langston rolls Kingston back in and Ziggler hits the Famouser for the three count

Post Match: Team Hell No comes out and Daniel Bryan congratulates Ziggler on being the only one to get Kane and Daniel Bryan on the same page. Kane says he’s not in a good place right now and says everyone can see what Langston can do on the outside but they want to see what he can do on the inside and challenge Ziggler & Langston to a match at Wrestlemania. AJ accepts. Only if Team Hell No put the tag titles on the line. Bryan accepts

Barrett going after Miz and Jericho from behind. Irish whip and an elbow to Barrett. Jericho clothesline Barrett over the ropes. Roll up by Miz. Jericho sends Miz to the outside and a crossbody over the top rope onto Barrett and Miz. Jericho rolls Barrett back in and a knee to the face. Barrett with a headbutt. Dropkick by Jericho. Miz trips Jericho pulling him to the outside and rams him into the apron. Miz back in and clothesline in the corner to Barrett. Kick to Jericho as Miz climbs the ropes. Barrett cuts him off. High running knee to the gut. Barrett to the top and Jericho cuts him off and a triple superplex off the top rope

Barrett drops an elbow on Jericho. Boot to Miz. Irish whip reversed by Barrett and a knee to the gut. Barrett with a chinlock. Jericho with the boot as Barrett charges in the corner. Jericho with a series of shoulderblocks. Jericho to top rope and crossbody onto Barrett. Bulldog to Barrett. Miz pulling Jericho over the top ropes. Axehandle from the top rope and series of clotheslines. Barrett blocks the backbreaker and hits the Winds Of Change. Miz looking for the figure four and it’s locked in but Lionsault onto Miz by Jericho. Winds Of Change countered by Jericho. Jericho locks in The Walls Of Jericho.  Miz back in looking for Skull Crushing Finale. Barrett sent over the top rope. Jericho with the roll up. Codebreaker to Miz. Barrett sends Jericho to the outside. Jericho pulls Barrett out throwing him into the barricade. Miz with the DDT on Jericho. Miz misses with the clothesline. Boot to the face by Miz. Jericho with a kick Miz counters Jericho with a roll up. Miz with the Skull Crushing Finale on Jericho. Barrett back in with a roll up on Miz for the three count

Contract Signing
Triple H comes out to the ring first.Paul Heyman then comes down accompanied by security. Triple H then says he thought Brock Lesnar was the kind of guy who’d want to come down and look him in the eye since he split his head two weeks ago. Heyman then calls Lesnar fearless. Heyman says he is an advocate and is afraid of the predicament he’s put Lesnar and Heyman in. Heyman says Triple H has 2 options. Disappoint the fans or sign the contract not knowing what the stipulations are and calls Triple H a frustrated man and doesn’t want him taking out his frustration on Heyman. Heyman then says Lesnar has already signed the contract and only after Triple H has signed the contract, will Heyman tell Triple H the stipulation. Triple H says Heyman forgot one part. He signs, finds out the stipulation and kick Lesnar’s ass anyways. Heyman asks for a moment to enjoy this and says he and Lesnar have spent countless hours watching a piece of footage from three weeks ago of Lesnar attacking Vince McMahon and Triple H coming out splitting Lesnar open.  Heyman asks how does he top that and calls himself a visionary and Brock Lesnar has allowed Heyman to pick the stipulation. Triple H attacks Heyman after Heyman makes a comment about Stephanie and lays him out on the table. Triple H then says he knows Lesnar won’t come out until he signs the contract and says he’s going to take his time and enjoy this. Triple H then lays a beating on Heyman as Heyman yells for Lesnar. Triple H then signs the contract and tells Heyman to go call his monster. Lesnar comes out wielding a steel chair. Triple H then brings out the sledgehammer. Lesnar comes to ringside and paces  around the ring as Heyman holds him back. Heyman and Lesnar then walk up the ramp and Heyman says he’s no tough guy. Lesnar the toughest guy but the beating was worth it to get the contract signed and it will be Triple H vs Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania in a No Holds Barred Career Ending Match
